VENEX® is a high-viscosity medical adhesive (N-butyl cyanoacrylate – NBCA)-based embolization system developed for the endovascular occlusion of varicose veins.
Administered under ultrasound guidance, VENEX® helps redirect blood flow to healthy veins by occluding the target vein. Thanks to its minimally invasive approach, the system offers an alternative to surgical intervention and thermal energy in the treatment of varicose veins.
How Does VENEX® Work?
In the VENEX® procedure, the target vein is accessed through a small entry point. The procedure is performed using a catheter or an appropriate injection system, and a high-viscosity embolization agent is delivered in a controlled manner to the targeted area.
Rapid polymerization occurs when the agent comes into contact with the fluid inside the vessel, helping to occlude the target vessel segment.
Indications for Use
VENEX® is specifically indicated for the treatment of varicose veins in the following venous structures:
Great saphenous vein
Small saphenous vein
Perforating veins
Varicose veins in suitable anatomical conditions
Please refer to the product’s Instructions for Use (IFU) for indications and application conditions.
