“Therapeutic Vascular Occlusion with Microspheres”
Produced by Invamed
The Duoten Embolization Agent is a high-density, liquid, non-adhesive (non-cyanoacrylate) embolization agent containing DMSO. The agent is a transparent, ready-to-use liquid.
This product is designed for the treatment of arterial and venous hemorrhoids (pelvic, vulvar, and anal hemorrhoids in the lower extremities, as well as gastrointestinal, colonic, and anal hemorrhoids) and is indicated for patients requiring hemorrhoid treatment.
It is supplied in 1 cc vials and must be used in conjunction with the Duoten Embolization Agent Delivery Kit and dextrose.
When in contact with living tissue and in moist environments, the agent adheres strongly to high-tensile tissues, achieving embolization effectively.
The polymerization time depends on the type of tissue in contact with the polymer, the type of fluid present in the tissue, and the amount of product used. When applied under appropriate conditions, Duoten Embolization Agent begins polymerization within 1–2 seconds and completes the process in approximately 5 seconds.
The total procedure time may vary depending on tissue type and polymer quantity. During embolization procedures, the polymer remains in the vessel for a longer duration. The polymerization reaction generates a temperature of approximately 40°C.
